1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Dice (Dice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or accessing the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you use Dice for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. In that case, “you” includes both you and the organization.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring that workspace members comply with these Terms. Accounts may not be sold, transferred, shared outside your organization, or used to avoid plan limits.

3. The service

Dice helps users discover public web pages, analyze backlink and editorial opportunities, find professional contact information, create AI-assisted outreach drafts, send messages through connected mailboxes, and monitor campaign or backlink status.

Results are research aids, not guarantees. Search coverage, contact details, rankings, classifications, generated drafts, and backlink status may be incomplete, outdated, duplicated, or incorrect. You must review results and exercise independent judgment before relying on them or contacting anyone.

4. Plans, billing, and refunds

  • Paid trial. The trial is charged once and provides access for the period shown at checkout. It does not automatically renew unless checkout expressly says otherwise.
  • Monthly plan. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until canceled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless applicable law requires otherwise.
  • Taxes and payment processing. Prices may exclude taxes. Polar or another disclosed payment processor handles checkout and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or where a different refund right is stated at checkout. We may provide credits or refunds at our discretion without creating an obligation to do so again.

You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for applicable fees, taxes, renewals, and purchases. Failed or reversed payments may result in restricted or suspended access.

5. Lifetime access

If you purchase a plan described as “lifetime access,” the purchase is a one-time, non-transferable license to use the generally available version of Dice for as long as we continue to operate the applicable service. It is not a promise that the service, any feature, or any third-party integration will exist forever.

Lifetime access includes future updates that we generally release to the lifetime plan. It does not necessarily include separately priced products, add-ons, premium data, custom work, unusually high third-party usage, or services that we identify as separate offerings. Reasonable usage and abuse protections may apply so that third-party API, crawling, email, or AI costs do not make the plan unsustainable.

We may modify, replace, or discontinue features as the product evolves. If the service is discontinued, the lifetime license ends; no perpetual hosting, maintenance, support, or source-code delivery is promised unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Dice to:

  • break any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
  • send spam, harassment, threats, deceptive messages, or unlawful marketing;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or offer;
  • collect, infer, upload, or target sensitive personal data without a lawful basis;
  • bypass access controls, robots restrictions, rate limits, or technical safeguards;
  • introduce malware, probe vulnerabilities, disrupt the service, or access another user’s data;
  • resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or systematically copy the service except where law permits; or
  • use automated means in a way that creates excessive load or disproportionate third-party cost.

We may investigate suspected misuse, apply rate limits, remove content, block destinations, or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, or our providers.

7. Outreach compliance

You—not Dice—are the sender and controller of outreach sent from your mailbox. You decide who to contact, why the contact is lawful, what the message says, and whether follow-up is appropriate. You are responsible for all applicable marketing, privacy, anti-spam, consumer-protection, and industry rules, including consent or legitimate-interest requirements where applicable.

Commercial messages must use accurate sender information and non-deceptive subject lines, identify advertising where required, include legally required contact or postal details, provide an effective opt-out method, and honor objections and unsubscribe requests promptly. Business-to-business outreach is not automatically exempt from these obligations.

Contact discovery does not grant permission to email a person. A publicly available or provider-verified email address does not by itself establish consent, a lawful basis, relevance, or deliverability.

8. Third-party integrations

The service depends on third parties such as Supabase, Vercel, Polar, Firecrawl, Hunter, Trigger.dev, OpenAI, Resend, Google, Microsoft, and mailbox or hosting providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and may change, become unavailable, impose limits, or produce errors.

When you connect an account, you authorize us to access and use it only as needed to provide the requested integration. You represent that you have the right to connect it. You can revoke OAuth access with the provider or remove a mailbox from Dice, but revocation may prevent related features from working.

9. AI-assisted features

AI features may classify pages, score opportunities, extract information, personalize drafts, classify replies, or propose responses. AI output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate, inappropriate, biased, or similar to output generated for others.

You must review all output before use. Do not treat it as legal, financial, compliance, or professional advice, and do not send an AI-generated message without checking its facts, tone, recipients, claims, and legal requirements. You are responsible for your prompts, selections, edits, and final use.

10. Content and intellectual property

We and our licensors retain all rights in the service, software, design, documentation, brand, and underlying technology. Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal business purposes.

You retain ownership of content you submit, including company information, campaign instructions, and edits (“Customer Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service or comply with law.

Public web content and contact information remain subject to the rights of their owners and data subjects. Search results or excerpts do not transfer copyright, database, publicity, or privacy rights to you. If you submit feedback, we may use it without restriction or compensation.

11. Confidentiality and security

Each party may receive non-public information from the other. The receiving party will use reasonable care to protect it and use it only for the agreement, except for information that is public through no fault of the receiving party, already lawfully known, independently developed, or lawfully received from a third party.

You must use reasonable security practices, limit workspace and mailbox access to authorized people, and avoid uploading secrets or sensitive information that the service does not require. No security measure eliminates all risk.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You may cancel a recurring plan through the available billing controls or by contacting support. Deleting an account does not automatically create a refund.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create legal or security risk, fail to pay, abuse providers or usage limits, or if we discontinue the service. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and general terms—will survive termination.

13. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT.

We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, successful outreach, any number or quality of opportunities, valid contact details, email delivery, replies, rankings, traffic, search placement, or backlinks. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER DICE NOR ITS SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY. FOR A LIFETIME PLAN, THE RELEVANT AMOUNT IS THE LIFETIME PURCHASE PRICE. THESE LIMITS APPLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND DO NOT LIMIT LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE LIMITED.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dice and its personnel and suppliers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your Customer Content, outreach, connected accounts, violation of these Terms or law, or infringement of another person’s rights. We will provide reasonable notice and cooperation, and you may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by us or imposes obligations on us without our consent.

16. Changes to the service or terms

We may update the service and these Terms as the product, providers, or laws change. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, email, or this page before it takes effect where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.

17. General terms

These Terms and any incorporated policies are the entire agreement concerning the service and replace prior discussions on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions remain effective. A waiver must be in writing and is not a continuing waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control. There are no third-party beneficiaries.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the operator of Dice is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction over that operator will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to bring a claim elsewhere.

18. Contact
